Test Technician

Pay: $35-$42/hr DOE

Schedule: Full-Time

Ultimate Staffing is hiring a Test Technician for a leading medical device manufacturer in San Jose. This is a hands-on role focused on testing, troubleshooting, calibration, and repair of electronic and electromechanical products in a regulated manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform functional testing, verification, and calibration of electronic assemblies and finished products
• Troubleshoot electronic failures to the component level
• Perform PCB soldering, rework, touch-up, and repair
• Diagnose and repair electromechanical assemblies
• Read and interpret schematics, drawings, and technical documentation
• Document test results, failures, and repair activities
• Support engineering and manufacturing teams with troubleshooting and root cause analysis
• Maintain and calibrate test equipment
• Follow all quality, safety, FDA, GMP, and ISO requirements

Requirements

• 4+ years of electronics testing, troubleshooting, or repair experience
• Component-level troubleshooting experience
• Experience using oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, and electronic test equipment
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical documentation
• Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs

Preferred Qualifications

• Medical device manufacturing experience
• PCB soldering, rework, and repair experience
• Electromechanical troubleshooting experience
• SMT (Surface Mount Technology) experience
• Associate degree in Electronics Technology or related field
• Experience working in FDA, GMP, or ISO-regulated environments
